Special Education

At Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Our Special Education program provides individualized support and specialized instruction designed to meet the unique educational needs of students with disabilities.

Students who qualify for special education services through an Individualized Education Program (IEP) receive the appropriate instruction, services, accommodations, and supports needed to access and participate in their education. These services are provided at no cost to families and are designed to help students make meaningful progress while participating in the school community alongside their peers to the greatest extent appropriate.

We believe in educating students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and providing a range of services and supports based on each student's individual strengths, needs, and goals. Our team works collaboratively with students and families to develop and implement educational plans that support academic, social, and personal growth.

Special education services are available to eligible students from ages 3 through 22, as determined by federal and state requirements. Eligibility is based on specific criteria established under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

We value strong partnerships with families and are dedicated to ensuring that every student feels supported, included, and empowered to reach their full potential.
